About iVerify

We are Experts in Mobile Threat Hunting. The first mobile threat hunting company to protect mobile devices like any other vulnerable corporate endpoint.

The mobile security market has a problem. Simply put, current solutions fail to meet the sophistication of modern threats or the growing privacy desires of mobile device users. We believe that it is time for something new. Not only because we care deeply about the safety of frontline users like journalists and activists - many of whom are doing important and often dangerous work - but because enterprises and consumers deserve real protection from advanced mobile threats without sacrificing privacy.

We are building the first mobile threat hunting company to harmonize security and privacy in the face of a new class of mobile threats. Supported by some of the most well-respected VC firms, we aim to become the go-to mobile security solution for individuals who want to know they can trust their devices with their most sensitive information – without sacrificing privacy.

We’re looking for a Senior Mobile QA Engineer who will take ownership of end-to-end product quality across our iOS and Android applications, including the APIs they interact with and the supporting data pipelines.

You'll work directly with the engineering team, embedded in their sprints, in the weeds of every ticket that moves through our development pipeline, and across the small details that make the difference between shipped and shipped well. You'll partner with product and research teams to design test plans, identify edge cases, and ensure we deliver high-quality, reliable, and secure features to our customers. You'll act as the final gate between development and release, ensuring our mobile applications, backend APIs, data pipelines and platform perform flawlessly across complex enterprise environments. Start your cover letter with "Apple" to show attention to details. All other applications will be rejected automatically.

You'll work most closely with our mobile team, so deep hands-on experience with Xcode and Android Studio is essential, along with a strong understanding of the nuances of mobile QA - device fragmentation, OS version differences, permissions and background behaviour, and the debugging quirks specific to iOS and Android.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Testing: Design and execute comprehensive manual test plans for mobile apps (iOS and Android), REST APIs, and backend services.

  • Data Validation: Verify the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of data flowing through ETL pipelines and integrations.

  • Exploratory & Regression Testing: Identify edge cases, uncover bugs, and ensure regressions are caught early in the release cycle.

  • Test Case Design & Documentation: Create, maintain, and organize detailed test cases, test data, and defect reports.

  • Cross-Platform Coordination: Collaborate with the Mobile, Server, and research teams to ensure consistent quality standards across the stack.

  • API Testing: Test RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman or similar, verifying endpoints, responses, and integration logic.

  • Collaboration: Work with developers and product managers to triage defects, reproduce customer-reported issues, and ensure fast resolution.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Mobile QA experience, including at least 2+ in a senior or lead QA role.

  • Comfortable operating at pace in a fast-moving environment, confidently prioritizing and keeping multiple programs in flight at once

  • Strong background in manual testing across mobile applications on iOS and Android.

  • Experience testing REST APIs (Postman, or similar).

  • Background in automatic testing across mobile applications and APIs.

  • Understanding of data pipelines, ETL validation, and structured data (JSON, CSV, SQL).

  • Familiarity with SQL for querying databases and validating backend data.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in documenting defects and test coverage.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and being able to ruthlessly prioritise.

  • Proven ability to work across multiple teams and manage QA scope for large releases.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
