About the role:
The Marketing Manager - Central Africa role will be charged with owning marketing metrics for the region and driving growth by leveraging regional and global resources. You’ll be expected to raise the bar for marketing in the region, helping Binance tell our story in a culturally relevant, accurate & consistent way, building trust and reputation in our community as well as those new to blockchain and crypto.
Responsibilities
Own marketing metrics to drive growth in Central Africa. Be the go-to person for high-level as well as operational insights into markets and the broader continent.
Collaborate with regional, global and functional teams on planning and executing campaigns for the Central Africa market
Collaborate on the affiliate program design, optimization and management in the markets managed.
Ensure that users within your purview receive relevant and hyperlocalised social media interactions within together with specialists in the team and central teams.
Continuously raise the bar on marketing execution in the region
Understanding of growth and integrated campaigns, conceptually be able to review funnel data and make unique changes bespoke to key markets in the portfolio.
Ability to read and review data pertaining to markets, identify trends and quickly execute on campaigns that change the trajectory. Flag key market & competitor movements to stakeholders and leadership
Drive quarterly marketing strategy for sub-region, OKRs and accountability tracking
Ensure local events are executed to Binance standards and meeting CSAT goals
Design and execute integrated campaigns, starting with strategy, brief and working on executing, measuring performance and reporting on effectiveness
Lead insight-driven tests/experiments in market, whether on lifecycle, social or paid channels in order to drive growth or engagement
Requirements

5+ years of proven success in a similar role

Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-moving environment often with uncertainty

Background in marketing, including large scale integrated campaigns, brand building and team management (remote team management experience a plus)

Experience working in regional roles and familiarity with Africa markets

Previous experience in social media management, affiliate programs, events and influencer management a plus

Fluency in English, French is also preferred

Effective communicator, able to represent Binance to external stakeholders

User-focused, data-driven approach to decision makingAble to conceptualize and manage integrated campaigns, using both in-house resources and agency partnersUnderstanding of social media and paid channels data analytics

Entrepreneurial self-starter, high sense of ownership, able to drive agendas and execute with minimal guidance or supervision

Additional experience in business development, partnership, government relations, strategy, startup, venture building, management consulting, or actual entrepreneurial experience is a plusBackground or interest in the fintech and crypto space preferred
