The listing
At Superside, we're looking for an AV Scriptwriter who can take a video brief from the initial idea through to a production-ready script. Projects range from 15-second social and performance content to five-minute brand/explainer films, across motion graphics, live action, stock-led video, and UGC. You'll need to understand how words, visuals, pacing, and sound work together, and be confident writing dialogue, voiceover, and on-screen copy that reads naturally out loud.
What you’ll do
-
Concept and script AV content across formats, from short-form social cuts to longer branded films.
-
Given a brief, develop two or three distinct creative directions, each with a clear sense of how it would work as a video, supported by references and a potential title approach.
-
Take a chosen direction through to a strong, production-ready AV script, including dialogue, voiceover and on-screen copy.
-
Build a hook that works, structure a clear narrative, and shift naturally between different brands, audiences, tones and platforms.
-
Collaborate with Superside's creative teams to align scripts with visual direction and brand guidelines, and refine based on feedback.
What you’ll bring
-
Proven AV scriptwriting experience, ideally from an agency background, not primarily general copywriting.
-
A portfolio of AV concepts and scripts, rather than mainly websites, blogs or general marketing copy.
-
Excellent command of English and a strong sense of pacing, tone and structure in scriptwriting.
-
Strong collaboration skills and openness to iteration with creative directors, designers and producers.
-
Interest in or familiarity with AI tools for creative ideation or drafting is a plus.
