We are seeking experienced music producers, audio engineers, and mixing professionals to contribute to an AI research initiative focused on evaluating generative music systems.
In this role, you will use your professional audio expertise and knowledge of the Swedish music landscape to assess AI-generated music against detailed quality standards. You will evaluate musicality, creativity, production quality, vocal performance, lyrical quality, and adherence to specific prompts or references.
The role requires strong Swedish and English language proficiency and a critical ear capable of identifying subtle differences in musical and production quality.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Compare AI-generated songs based on:
- Musicality
- Creativity and originality
- Prompt adherence
- Vocal quality and performance
- Production and mixing quality
- Classify and label songs according to genre, musical structure, instrumentation, vocal characteristics, and other relevant attributes.
- Evaluate AI-generated lyrics and vocals against reference material for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
- Identify subtle issues in arrangement, performance, mixing, production, and overall musical execution.
- Apply detailed evaluation criteria consistently across different musical styles and genres.
- Provide clear, structured feedback that helps improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated music.
- Use professional listening judgment to distinguish technically strong productions from outputs with noticeable creative or audio-quality issues.
Requirements
- Native or near-native proficiency in Swedish, with the ability to understand and follow detailed written instructions in English.
- 2+ years of professional experience as a:
- Music Producer
- Audio Engineer
- Mixing Engineer
- Recording Engineer
- Or in a closely related professional audio role.
- Strong familiarity with the Swedish music industry and contemporary Swedish music.
- High-quality headphones or studio monitors suitable for critical listening.
- Ability to evaluate music objectively against structured quality criteria.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to articulate observations clearly in written English.
Nice to Have
- Formal education or training in music performance, music theory, composition, production, or audio engineering.
- Credited or commercially released production, engineering, mixing, or songwriting work.
- Broad familiarity with contemporary Swedish genres, sub-genres, artists, and production styles.
- Experience working across multiple musical genres.
- Previous experience evaluating AI-generated music, audio, lyrics, or other generative content.
Project Timeline
- Start Date: Immediate
- Duration: Up to 6 months
- Commitment: Flexible
- Most contributors work approximately 20 hours per week, with no fixed maximum.

Contract and Payment Terms

- Payments are made weekly based on services rendered through available payment platforms.
