About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (Backend Focus) to join a talented international team and contribute to the development of a scalable platform that connects families with educational providers.
This is a direct hire opportunity with the client’s payroll, offering long-term stability and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend solutions with Ruby on Rails.
- Solve complex technical challenges related to performance, concurrency, and distributed architecture.
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor other team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Frontend, DevOps) in an Agile environment.
- Participate in architectural decisions and support the migration of infrastructure to AWS.
- Contribute to improving scalability, reliability, and performance of the platform.
Requirements
- Proven experience with Ruby on Rails in main projects in recent years (not only side projects).
- Strong track record building and scaling large, complex products (high concurrency, millions of users, critical integrations).
- Expertise in performance optimization, architecture design, and scalability.
- Experience leading projects or technical teams in e-commerce, marketplaces, or large-scale digital platforms.
- General frontend knowledge (React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Advanced English (C1 or higher, mandatory): you will work closely with international stakeholders.
- Current residence in Argentina (mandatory).
