The listing
Our client is looking for a highly detail-oriented Shopify Admin with strong Product Information Management (PIM) experience to support their e-commerce operations. This role will focus on SKU consolidation, product data clean-up, and ongoing catalog accuracy across Shopify and connected systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing large product catalogs, maintaining data integrity, and optimizing product information for accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the product catalog within Shopify and the PIM system.
- Consolidate SKUs, eliminate duplicates, and ensure consistent product data structure.
- Audit, clean, and standardize product titles, descriptions, images, tags, and metadata.
- Map product variants properly and ensure accurate association of attributes and options.
- Monitor and correct category structures, collections, and product taxonomy.
- Coordinate with internal teams (merchandising, operations, marketing) to validate product information.
- Support bulk imports, exports, and updates via CSV or PIM tools.
- Identify data gaps or inconsistencies and implement corrective solutions.
- Ensure product data adheres to internal standards and industry best practices.
- Assist with optimizing products for search, filtering, and customer experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shopify Admin, Product Data Specialist, or E-commerce Catalog Manager.
- Hands-on experience with PIM platforms (e.g., Akeneo, Plytix, Salsify, Syndigo, inRiver, or similar).
- Strong understanding of SKU structures, product variants, and data relationships.
- Advanced proficiency with CSV uploads, bulk editing, Google Sheets/Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect data inconsistencies.
- Experience managing large, complex product catalogs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple data tasks.
