Job Opening: Medical Biller
Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)
Full-Time, Remote Work.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and patients for services rendered, ensuring adherence to all billing regulations.
- Review and follow up on outstanding claims, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Maintain accurate billing records and documentation, updating patient and payer information as necessary.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and patients to clarify and resolve billing issues.
- Monitor payment trends and assist in maintaining accounts receivable to ensure optimal cash flow.
- Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and reimbursement policies to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Medical Billing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding.
- Proficient in various billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and payer requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills in order to efficiently handle billing processes.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while juggling multiple tasks.
