The listing
Our client is a growing technology company operating within the digital advertising ecosystem. The business uses data, automation, and AI to help organizations improve the way they plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing activity.
With a distributed workforce across the United States and several international markets, the company is entering an important stage of its growth. As the organization continues to scale, it is looking for an experienced People leader to strengthen its global People infrastructure and build scalable practices that support the next phase of the business.
About the Role
This is an opportunity to take ownership of the People function within a growing, internationally distributed organization.
As the company's senior People leader, you will oversee the employee lifecycle and help shape the People strategy, infrastructure, and practices required to support continued growth. Your remit will span talent acquisition, onboarding, employee development, performance management, compliance, workforce planning, and broader People operations.
You will partner closely with executive leadership while leading a small internal team, including talent acquisition. The position combines strategic leadership with direct execution and will suit someone who enjoys building and implementing solutions as much as advising the business.

- Develop and continuously improve onboarding, employee development, and performance management programs

- Oversee the effective engagement of international employees and contractors, including appropriate employment and classification practices
- Develop and maintain People policies, employee documentation, and HR systems
- Partner with executive leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, compensation, and broader People strategy
- Serve as a senior point of contact for complex employee relations matters
- Evaluate and improve People processes, systems, and reporting as the organization grows
- Take on additional areas of People Operations as the function and business evolve
Working Environment
- Fully remote position within the United States
- Regular collaboration with colleagues across US and international time zones
- Hands-on leadership environment with significant ownership and autonomy
- Fast-moving organization where priorities may evolve as the business grows
- Close partnership with executive leadership and teams across the organization
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline preferred; relevant professional HR certification is advantageous
- 8+ years of progressive People or HR experience, including meaningful leadership responsibility within a growing organization
- Experience building or scaling People programs within a high-growth, technology, venture-backed, or similarly fast-moving environment
- Experience leading a People team or managing across multiple HR disciplines
- Strong working knowledge of employment practices across multiple jurisdictions, ideally including experience supporting teams in North America and Europe
- Experience supporting an international or geographically distributed workforce
- Understanding of international contractor arrangements and employee classification considerations
- Experience working with external employment partners, such as PEOs or similar providers
- Experience overseeing talent acquisition or internal recruiting operations
- Demonstrated experience developing onboarding, performance management, and employee development programs
- Experience partnering with senior executives on organizational design, workforce planning, and People strategy
- Strong understanding of HR operations, policies, compliance, and employee relations
Benefits
- Base salary of between $150k to $180k
- Competitive benefits package, including healthcare coverage, retirement benefits, paid time off, and company holidays.
