As we continue expanding our presence in Washington, we are seeking an experienced Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney to lead our litigation practice within the state.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing firm where you'll have the autonomy to manage complex litigation, influence strategic decisions, and play a key role in building our Washington practice.

Position Summary

As the Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney, you will manage a plaintiff personal injury caseload from pre-suit through trial while serving as the firm's lead litigation attorney in Washington. You will work closely with firm leadership to develop litigation strategies, strengthen local resources, and deliver outstanding results for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a personal injury caseload from intake through trial or settlement.
  • Handle Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA), Commercial Vehicle Accident (CVA), catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex injury claims.
  • Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, settlement negotiations, and jury trials.
  • Develop litigation strategies that maximize client outcomes.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and appellate documents as needed.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, case managers, and litigation support staff.
  • Build relationships with medical providers, expert witnesses, investigators, and litigation professionals throughout Washington.
  • Assist in developing Washington-specific litigation procedures and best practices.
  • Mentor attorneys and staff as the firm's Washington practice continues to grow.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active Washington State Bar license in good standing.
  • Minimum 10 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience.
  • Extensive experience handling Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) and Commercial Vehicle Accident (CVA) claims.
  • Significant deposition, mediation, arbitration, and courtroom experience.
  • Ability to independently manage a litigation caseload from pre-suit through trial.
  • Strong legal writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining exceptional responsiveness.

Preferred Qualifications

  • First-chair jury trial experience.
  • Experience with catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation.
  • Established relationships with Washington medical providers, expert witnesses, and litigation support professionals.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a litigation team.
