Following consistent annual growth of 70–80% and with even more ambitious plans ahead, we are expanding our recruitment team and looking for a Cost Engineer-Estimator to help drive our continued success.
Employment Type:
- Full-time, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, New York time.
- Remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Review architectural drawings and submitted quotes to determine suitable installation options for our systems, including glass, aluminum, and steel partitions.
- Perform precise take-offs for all door and partition openings based on architectural and shop drawings.
- Read and interpret door schedules and hardware sets to ensure accurate product selection and full compatibility.
- Communicate effectively with the sales team to clarify project scope, technical requirements, and deadlines.
- Request necessary documentation, including compliance and regulatory certifications, as needed.
- Prepare detailed quotes that clearly define included materials, scope of work, exclusions, and any relevant assumptions or conditions.
- Identify and correct technical errors made by sales managers and propose appropriate alternatives or solutions
Requirements
- Technical degree in Mechanical or Civil/Structural Engineering
- Strong spatial thinking and technical problem-solving skills
- Proven experience with quantity take-offs from construction and mechanical drawings
- Confident in reading and interpreting:
- Civil and mechanical drawings Hardware sets and layouts
- Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets ➤ Basic formulas
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Comfortable working with scaled PDFs (e.g., in Adobe Acrobat)
- Languages: Russian (fluent), English (Upper-intermediate B2)
- Available to work full-time aligned with EST timezone (8:30AM-5:00PM)
