We are currently looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join one of our clients - a company operating in the luxury travel & hospitality space, managing an exclusive collection of premium properties across the Mediterranean.
Project Description
Our client's engineering team builds and maintains the internal tools that power the client-matching, sales, and operations workflows behind their business. The stack is Ruby on Rails + PostgreSQL (hosted on AWS) alongside Next.js, with a trunk-based repo, CI/CD, and multiple deploys per day. This role reports to the Lead Test Automation Engineer and will be a central, hands-on position covering both manual and automated testing.
Role is based in Wrocław, Poland.
What you'll do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript
- Write and execute automated test scripts covering functional, regression, and integration scenarios
- Establish and document QA practices, procedures, and standards scaled to the organisation
- Collaborate closely with developers to investigate, analyse, and resolve defects, and drive automation testing best practices
- Contribute to story planning and definition of acceptance criteria within Scrum ceremonies
- Track, analyse, and report on software quality metrics across sprints and releases
- Act as a key point of escalation for software quality issues, driving resolution across the team
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance software quality and user experience
- Keep current with industry trends and automation tooling, bringing learnings back to the team
What we are looking for
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in test automation, with strong proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies: functional, regression, UAT, system integration, exploratory
- Proven track record designing and building test automation frameworks from the ground up
- Demonstrable experience leveraging AI coding agents, or genuine enthusiasm to adopt and master them quickly
- Solid knowledge of git and version control practices in a team environment
- Strong understanding of the DOM and how to write reliable, maintainable locator strategies
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira) and test management tools (e.g. TestRail)
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with usability and accessibility testing
- Experienced working within Agile/Scrum teams
- English proficiency
- Friendly, supportive, positive, can-do attitude
Nice to have
- Experience using Jira and writing clear developer documentation in Notion
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- A love of travel!
