About the Role:

IPSY is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Commerce Coordinator (junior merch analyst) to support our online merchandising operations in Mexico. In this role, you will bridge merchandising execution and performance analysis—ensuring accurate product representation, optimizing website content, and digging into eCommerce data to drive actionable campaign and assortment strategies.

If you thrive in a fast-paced eCommerce environment, love turning numbers into revenue-driving decisions, and know your way around retail metrics and Excel, this is the role for you.

This position reports to the Global Merchandising Manager and is remote, but is based (you must reside) in Mexico.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Merchandising & Campaign Asset Optimization: Coordinate banner and promotional asset uploads across eCommerce and Add-ons formats. Translate and update Product Detail Pages (PDPs) for Add-ons, eCommerce, and Glam Bag formats, ensuring assets are accurate, complete, and optimized for search and user experience.
  • Product Lifecycle & Operations: Monitor product availability to prevent stockouts in coordination with the US merchandising team. Manage Accommodations and PDP workflows in Akeneo, execute bi-weekly Merch Import Requests, and track monthly assortment reviews in Asana.
  • Performance Analysis & Insights:
    • Analyze sell-through, inventory turns, SKU/category profitability, and promotional lift to guide markdowns, reorders, and campaign strategies.
    • Deep-dive into eCommerce KPIs (CVR, AOV, sell-through, margin contribution) to evaluate category performance and monitor ROI on promotional calendars.
    • Conduct demand forecasting and open-to-buy support to optimize stock levels.
  • Reporting & Strategy: Deliver monthly qualitative and quantitative performance reports to leadership. Monitor competitor offers, deals, and market trends to flag opportunity areas.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with digital operations, creative, product, and US merchandising teams to ensure timely execution and resolve stock/asset blockers proactively.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Early Career / Entry-Level Experience: Open to recent graduates in Engineering, Business, Economics, or quantitative fields with up to 2 years of hands-on experience in eCommerce or retail merchandising (experience with platforms/retailers like Amazon, Mercado Libre, Liverpool, Palace, etc., is a major plus).
  • Core Excel & Data Fluency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, handling sales and inventory data) with a proven ability to translate analysis into real business impact.
  • eCommerce & Retail Metric Literacy: Solid understanding of eCommerce campaign dynamics and key retail metrics (Conversion Rate, Average Order Value, Sell-through, Gross Margin).
  • Operational Precision & Ownership: Exceptional attention to detail, strong time-management skills, and the ability to autonomously drive cross-functional operational workflows in fast-paced environments.
  • Language Skills: Professional fluency in English (written and verbal) for seamless cross-border team collaboration.
Bonus if You Have:
  • Experience in the Beauty industry or a passion for cosmetics/skincare.
  • Experience in Subscription business models or recurring revenue eCommerce.
  • Experience with PIM/CMS tools like Akeneo or project management tools like Asana.
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary (MXN)
  • Paid time off & work from home flexibility
  • Learning & development programs
  • Free IPSY Original subscription
