The listing
We are looking for an experienced Ads Policy Lead who has significant subject matter expertise, strong policy development capabilities, and thrives in dynamic environments. This is a senior individual contributor role, with no people management responsibilities, reporting to our Head of Ads Policy. This hire will be primarily responsible for driving the research and development of large-scale policies that impact Reddit's global advertising platform. This critical new role will partner with colleagues and leaders across Legal, Sales, Operations,Product, Trust & Safety Policy and other departments to tackle cutting edge challenges, enable responsible business opportunities, and work on other high impact advertising policy projects that help Reddit continue to scale its business across the world.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive the development, drafting, and maintenance of strategic advertising policies across Reddit's ads products acting as subject matter expert in the EMEA region
- Draft risk assessments and strategic policy recommendations for senior cross-functional leaders and executive stakeholders, representing the Ads Policy perspective with clarity and confidence.
- Act as a role model of Reddit’s Company Values, assisting teammates and providing guidance as a senior peer leader
- Serve as the decision-maker on highly complex, grey-area ads policy escalations, delivering definitive, risk-balanced rulings on high-impact issues
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in compliance, standards, or policy development and implementation, with significant experience in tech, digital platforms, advertising, Trust and Safety, or a related policy function
- Proven track record of taking complete, reliable ownership of complex policy projects, demonstrating a strong ability to personally research, draft, implement, and maintain policies autonomously in fast-paced environments
- Deep subject matter expertise in advertising or content policy on an international scale, with a proven track record of working with global teams and advising stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy/regulatory matters into simple business terms
- Exceptional ability to synthesize complex, ambiguous problems into structured decision documents that clearly lay out risks, trade-offs, and proposed solutions.

- Direct experience working on advertising policies within a major tech platform
- Familiarity with leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows, enable automated and tailored assistance for partners and clients, and help scale processes with limited resources.
