About the Company
Our client is a well-established sales organization with approximately 15 years of experience delivering outsourced SDR and business development services.
The company has mature sales processes, proven methodologies, and a structured approach to outbound prospecting. This opportunity supports the sale of SaaS and automated systems into the UK market, with a particular focus on professional and regulated industries such as tax, accountancy, and related financial services.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) who can confidently engage senior UK prospects in consultative sales conversations.
This is not a high-volume, script-led appointment-setting role. You will need to understand complex business challenges, communicate professionally with decision-makers, and position SaaS automation solutions in a credible and commercially relevant way.
The ideal candidate is articulate, consultative, commercially aware, and comfortable selling into regulated or professional-services environments such as tax, accountancy, finance, or compliance.
You will be responsible for generating qualified outbound opportunities while representing the business professionally throughout the prospecting process.
You will be particularly well suited to this role if you have previously sold software or automated systems to accountants, tax professionals, financial-services companies, or other organizations operating in regulated environments.
You should be comfortable speaking with experienced business owners and senior stakeholders, asking intelligent questions, and building credibility quickly.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct approximately 50 targeted outbound calls per day to UK-based prospects.
- Generate approximately 10 qualified outbound sales opportunities per month.
- Prospect and engage decision-makers within tax, accountancy, financial services, and other regulated industries.
- Run professional, consultative discovery conversations to understand prospect challenges, processes, and commercial needs.
- Communicate the value of SaaS automation systems clearly and confidently.
- Qualify prospects based on need, fit, urgency, authority, and potential commercial value.
- Navigate gatekeepers and confidently engage senior stakeholders.
- Conduct structured follow-ups across phone, email, and other outbound channels.
- Maintain accurate prospect, activity, and opportunity information within Salesforce.
- Work within established outbound sales processes, methodologies, and performance standards.
- Collaborate with the wider sales team to continually improve messaging, targeting, and conversion rates.
Requirements
- Strong previous experience as a Sales Development Representative, Business Development Representative, or outbound sales professional.
- Proven experience selling SaaS, software, technology, automation, or complex B2B solutions.
- Experience selling into the UK market and confidence communicating with UK-based decision-makers.
- Experience or strong understanding of regulated or professional-services sectors such as tax, accountancy, finance, compliance, or financial services.
- Excellent spoken and written English with a polished, professional, and articulate communication style.
- Strong consultative selling and discovery skills.
- Comfortable discussing complex business problems rather than relying on scripted pitches.
- Proven ability to generate qualified outbound opportunities consistently.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM.
- Strong objection-handling, qualification, and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organized, commercially minded, and comfortable working against measurable KPIs.
