LemFi (Series B) is building the go-to financial app for the Global South.

Moving to a new country shouldn’t mean starting from zero. That's why our team of 400+ spanning 20+ countries is building a financial ecosystem that helps immigrants stay connected to home, build stability, and create wealth regardless of where they are from or where they live.

What began as fast, affordable remittances is now evolving into a complete platform for multi-currency accounts, payments, credit, and long-term financial growth.

With millions of users across the globe, we process over $1B in monthly transactions to 30+ countries, proving that borders shouldn't limit financial opportunity.

About the role

Nigeria is a major growth driver and accounts for a significant portion of our user base. As Head of Nigeria, you will be the single accountable commercial leader owning our largest corridor end-to-end, driving growth strategy, revenue and pricing levers, product positioning, and cross-functional execution across three distinct regional corridors (UK, US, and EU). Reporting directly to the VP of Growth, Africa, you will lead the evolution of LemFi from a pure remittance provider into a comprehensive financial platform.

What you'll build and own

  • Define and execute the growth strategy for UK, US and EU (Nigeria), treating each corridor with the distinct approach its maturity demands - defending our market-leading remittance position, while leading the shift to a multi-product financial platform in the UK; and accelerating top-of-funnel customer acquisition, capture market share, and scale remittance corridors from early-stage to maturity in the EU and US.

  • Own the Nigeria revenue line end-to-end: take rates, pricing decisions, partnership structures, routing optimisation, and revenue targets across every product line.

  • Identify how to bundle, package, and position our full suite of financial products in mature markets to drive customer lifetime value and cross-product adoption.

  • Build, recruit, and lead a team across multiple markets and functions - growth, partnerships, operations - setting direction, developing talent and holding the bar high from day one.

  • Act as the connective tissue between Nigeria growth and the rest of LemFi: align with treasury, product, data, finance and cross-functional GMs to remove blockers, secure reliable infrastructure and make sure the team has something worth selling.

  • Translate field intelligence into strategy: spend time with real users, challenge your team's assumptions in the market, and bring ground-level insight back into the planning cycle - not just data from a dashboard.

  • Leverage AI tools to sharpen analysis, stress-test market growth assumptions, and execute market reviews with speed and rigor.

Your experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Fintech / Neobanking / Financial Services, or 6–7 years of relevant and deep experience in cross-border payments, remittance, or multi-product consumer fintech)

  • Proven track record owning a P&L or revenue line in a fintech business - you know how remittance and financial services economics work and can read a take-rate problem without being walked through it.

  • Experience leading a function or market that spans multiple geographies or corridors at different stages of maturity - you know what good looks like at scale and what it looks like on day one.

  • Background managing marketing or growth budgets in the range of one to three million dollars a month, with direct accountability for the results.

  • Comfortable working across the full commercial stack: growth and acquisition, pricing and revenue, partnership development, product positioning and customer retention.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse, distributed teams and develop people who are themselves highly autonomous - you build capability, not dependency.

  • Demonstrated ability to align cross-functional teams—Treasury, Product, Data, Finance, and Operations—behind commercial targets without needing formal authority.

Nice to have

  • Experience growing a multi-product financial app beyond its original category (e.g. moving a payments or remittance product into savings, credit or banking).

  • Familiarity with the Nigerian diaspora market in the UK, US or EU - either from lived experience or from having worked directly with that customer segment.

  • Exposure to early-stage market building in the US or continental Europe alongside a mature home market.
