Job Title: Patient Support & Billing Specialist
Position Type: Full-Time
Working Hours: 11:00 PM–9:00 AM Monday - Thursday
9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Friday Eastern Daylight Time
Salary rate: $5-$6 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Answer inbound and outbound patient calls, emails, and text messages.
- Schedule, reschedule, and confirm routine and urgent appointments.
- Assist patients with telehealth appointments and virtual care coordination.
- Update and maintain accurate patient records in the EMR.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and coverage.
- Process and submit medical claims.
- Follow up on claim status and basic billing concerns.
- Assist with medical coding and review records for billing accuracy.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and administrative teams.
- Provide general medical administrative and provider support.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical or healthcare setting is required.
- Experience with patient calls, scheduling, and medical reception.
- Hands-on experience with insurance verification and claims processing.
- Experience with medical billing and/or medical coding.
- Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology is preferred.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Comfortable learning proprietary EMR systems, including OrthoLive Proprietary EMR.
- Comfortable working overnight and participating in virtual video conference rooms.
- Able to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Requirements
- Must speak and write English clearly and professionally.
- Must have relevant work experience.
- Must be able to provide an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding (mandatory).
- Must be available to attend video meetings with camera on when required.

- Computer: Reliable laptop or desktop computer.
- Internet: Stable high-speed internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps).

- Video: Working webcam for virtual meetings.
