Role Summary
Sophos is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our global development team. In this role, you will serve as a technical subject matter expert responsible for designing, developing, and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions on our customized Salesforce platform. You will independently lead the delivery of epics, actively participate in design reviews, and mentor other developers to elevate the team’s technical maturity.
This position goes beyond coding as you will play a key part in technical strategy, system architecture, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement of engineering standards. Expect to be hands-on while also driving results, leading technical delivery, and championing innovation across systems and teams.
What You Will Do
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex epics and major enhancements within the Salesforce ecosystem.
- Act as technical SME for the area owned by your team; own and continuously improve the codebase.
- Design scalable, resilient solutions and produce supporting documentation aligned with engineering best practices.
- Mentor and guide junior team members; raise the technical capability of the team.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, and Stakeholders in build design sessions.
- Participate in technical analysis, impact assessments, and risk evaluations across interconnected systems.
- Ensure code quality through code reviews, automation, CI/CD, and adherence to standards.
- Drive system stability and maintainability through proactive monitoring and refactoring.
- Conduct cross-functional presentations to share solutions, ideas, and innovations.
- Troubleshoot advanced production issues and lead root cause investigations.
- Represent your technical domain in cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
- 7-12 years of development experience using APEX/LWC/Flows/Visualforce etc.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce platform configuration and administration.
- Experience delivering features for enterprise-scale applications in a structured, Agile environment.
- Solid grasp of impact analysis, technical risk management, and system integration.
- Self-driven with a proven ability to deliver results independently.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience collaborating in cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
- Strong focus on code quality, security, and testing standards.
- Familiary or hands on experience in implementing Salesforce AI Capabilities - e.g. Einstein, AgentForce, etc.
- Familiarity with Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence), Bamboo, and Git-based workflows.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, GIT based Source Control, and DevOps practices.
