The HubSpot CRM is built on relationships. Underneath every contact, deal, ticket, and activity is a set of primitives that defines how records are created and how they connect to one another. These aren't just data structures — they're the foundation that every HubSpot product, every workflow, and every AI-powered feature depends on to function. The Data Platform organization owns that foundation, and we're at an inflection point in how it will evolve.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager II to lead one of the most consequential platform areas in HubSpot: the systems that govern how records relate to each other and how new records come into existence. You'll own a full vertical spanning three teams — from the foundational data infrastructure all the way up to the admin and rep-facing UI surfaces that customers use every day. This is rare: a role where you'll need to hold a complex technical system in your head while simultaneously caring deeply about whether the experience is intuitive enough for a sales rep to use without training.

This moment is especially exciting. We're rethinking how these systems should work as agents and third-party tools begin acting on behalf of customers. When an AI agent is navigating a customer's CRM, the web of associations it relies on needs to be accurate, consistent, and rich. A well-designed associations model is no longer just a UX nicety — it's infrastructure for intelligence. The work you do here will determine whether HubSpot's data model can power that future.

Success in this role will be measured by two things: growing the number of meaningful relationships represented in HubSpot, and building systems that are intuitive enough to scale across the full range of our customers — from a small business managing a few contacts to an enterprise running a sophisticated multi-object data architecture.

In this role you'll get to:

  • Own the full roadmap across three teams — from the foundational systems that define how records relate, to the UI surfaces that admins and reps use to create and manage those relationships
  • Define the long-term vision for how HubSpot's associations model evolves: expanding the types of relationships the platform can represent, increasing consistency across the data model, and making relational data available everywhere in the product
  • Own how new records get created across HubSpot — designing experiences that are fast and intuitive for humans while being reliable and structured enough for AI agents and third-party tools to act on
  • Drive data quality and completeness across the associations and record creation surface — ensuring that the full web of relationships is captured at the right moment in a record's lifecycle, and that the data customers and AI agents act on is trustworthy, consistent, and as complete as possible
  • Drive alignment across a wide set of teams that consume the HubSpot data model — to ensure the associations platform evolves in a backward-compatible, forward-looking way
  • Collaborate directly with AI and agent-owning teams to ensure agents can accurately interpret and act on a company's complex web of relationships to drive efficiency gains for customers
  • Engage directly with customers — from SMBs to enterprise teams running multi-object architectures — to deeply understand where relational data breaks down in practice
  • Balance near-term quality improvements with a long-term architectural vision, sequencing work thoughtfully across infrastructure and experience layers
  • Represent the roadmap to senior leadership, Ecosystem partners, and key enterprise customers

We are looking for people who have:

  • Experience launching products successfully to customers, ideally in platform, data infrastructure, or CRM contexts
  • The ability to hold both a keen eye for detail and a long-term vision simultaneously — you can zoom in on a broken UX pattern and zoom out to a multi-year platform strategy without losing either thread
  • Strong intuition for experience design: you believe that foundational systems should be as intuitive as they are powerful, and you push for UI and workflows that don't require a manual
  • Deep curiosity about how complex systems work — you're not satisfied with understanding the surface; you want to know what's underneath it and why it was built that way
  • A track record of driving alignment across many stakeholders: you can build consensus across engineering, design, and cross-functional product teams without losing momentum
  • The ability to explain complex technical concepts in language accessible to a broad range of users — from enterprise architects to everyday reps
  • A multidisciplinary approach, combining customer empathy, technical depth, and business judgment to prioritize and sequence platform work
  • The ability to make decisions, test assumptions, and iterate — often without perfect information and with meaningful platform risk
  • A deep respect for the expertise of collaborators, including engineering, design, UX research, analytics, and go-to-market partners

As a member of the Product Management org at HubSpot you'll:

  • Join a product-led culture that truly puts the customer first
  • Create and advance an ambitious product strategy driven by customer needs, business goals, powerful data, and global market indicators
  • Partner closely with colleagues in UX and Engineering to create a high-value product that's both powerful and easy to use
  • Use your voice, share your perspective, and have a real impact based on your point of view
  • Know what will lead to getting promoted, and why, thanks to clear expectations and robust career paths
  • Be empowered to show up as your authentic self and choose a work style and location where you can do your best work, whether that's at home, in an office, or a blend of the two
