In this role, you will validate business requirements, identify and document defects, execute manual and automated testing strategies, and advocate for quality across product development initiatives. You will help ensure that customer-facing applications, backend services, and APIs meet functional, integration, performance, and usability expectations while contributing to the continuous improvement of testing processes, automation coverage, and Quality Engineering practices.
Your Impact
You will drive quality by analyzing business requirements to design and execute risk-based testing strategies, encompassing functional, regression, API, and exploratory testing across web applications and distributed services. You will develop and maintain UI test automation using Playwright, validate backend services and data integrity, and meticulously document defects while performing root cause analysis on production issues using application logs and telemetry.
Additionally, you will act as a key quality advocate within Agile ceremonies, collaborating closely with Product Managers and Engineers to identify risks early and ensure clear acceptance criteria. Beyond day-to-day testing, you will play a crucial role in enhancing CI/CD pipelines, improving system observability, and evolving quality engineering standards and best practices across the organization.
What You Bring to the Table
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, risk-based testing, SDLC, STLC, Agile development practices, and Quality Engineering principles.
Experience testing modern web applications, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems in a fast-paced development environment.
Experience creating or maintaining automated UI tests using Playwright or similar modern automation frameworks.
Experience validating API requests, responses, business rules, and downstream data integrity.
Ability to analyze application logs, network traffic, and backend integrations to troubleshoot complex production and pre-production issues.
Experience performing impact analysis and determining regression scope for changes affecting shared services or multiple applications.
Working knowledge of software architecture concepts, including service-oriented and microservices-based applications.
Exposure to cloud-native applications, modern software delivery practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
Bonus
Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Bruno, Insomnia, or similar.
Experience testing event-driven architectures, asynchronous messaging, or supplier/third-party integrations.
Experience using observability platforms, centralized logging, distributed tracing, or application performance monitoring (APM) tools.
Experience with cloud-native technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized application deployments.
Experience with performance, load, or resilience testing using tools such as k6, JMeter, or similar.
Familiarity with accessibility (WCAG), security, or compliance testing practices.
Experience contributing to automation frameworks, reusable test utilities, or shared Quality Engineering tooling
