About the job
Goods & Services is looking for a Senior Release Manager who serves as the operational bridge between Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Enterprise Program Managers (EPMs), and also works with Systems Engineering, DevOps, Quality, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure mobile software releases are planned, documented, approved, deployed, and monitored successfully.
What you’ll do:
- Release Planning & Coordination / Documentation Readiness:
- Coordinate creation, review, approval, and release of software lifecycle documentation.
- Create or Track readiness of all documents
- Maintain documentation dependency maps and critical path analysis.
- Escalate documentation gaps that could delay testing, regulatory submissions, or deployment readiness
- Deployment Management
- Own deployment planning for Internal releases, Limited Market Releases (LMR), Feature Rollouts, International Deployments, Sustaining Patches, and Hotfixes
- Coordinate deployment execution with DevOps and IT teams.
- Manage staged rollout strategies, rollback plans, deployment targeting, pilot groups, and production monitoring.
- Track deployment performance metrics and launch outcomes.
- Coordinate hypercare activities following releases
- Release Readiness Governance
- Lead release readiness reviews and deployment readiness assessments.
- Establish readiness criteria for each deployment phase.
- Facilitate cross-functional go/no-go reviews
- Process Improvement
- Standardize release management practices across mobile teams.
- Develop reusable templates for deployment plans, readiness reviews, risk tracking, and release reporting.
- Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support scaling of release processes across multiple concurrent product releases
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 5+ years in software release management, program management, systems engineering, PMO, or technical operations.
- Experience supporting mobile applications and cloud-connected systems.
- Experience in regulated industries (medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, aerospace, or similar).
- Experience with Agile/SAFe environments.
Nice to have:
- PMP certification.
- SAFe certification.
- Experience with Android and iOS release processes.
- Experience with app store deployments and OTA update strategies.
- Knowledge of Design Controls, Quality Systems, and Software Development Lifecycle documentation.
