Role Overview
We're looking for a sharp, detail-driven Underwriting Analyst to join a fast-growing financial services team. You'll take ownership of reviewing financial applications, entering and verifying data with precision, and making sure every decision lines up with our underwriting guidelines and compliance requirements. This role is built for someone who genuinely enjoys getting the fine details right, every time.
What You'll Do
Evaluate financial applications and accompanying documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Enter and maintain reliable data across underwriting systems and platforms.
Double-check submitted information to confirm it's complete and correct.
Weigh risk factors and make sure every decision follows underwriting guidelines.
Catch and flag discrepancies, inconsistencies, or missing details for follow-up.
Work closely with internal teams to keep case processing smooth and on schedule.
Keep case records organized, accurate, and current.
Follow compliance standards and internal policies consistently.
Required Qualifications
Solid background in financial underwriting or a similarly data-heavy financial role.
Sharp attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy.
Comfortable working independently and staying on top of a steady caseload.
Strong written and spoken English for communicating with US-based clients.
Available to work full-time during US Eastern hours.
Demonstrated remote work experience is required; candidates without it will not be considered.
Experience supporting US-based clients.
Nice to Have
Experience in financial services, lending, insurance, or credit.
Comfortable navigating underwriting software and financial data platforms.
Background working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Familiarity with CRM and case management tools, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite, and communication tools like Slack or Zoom.
