About the company
Our client is an AI-driven payment platform (PSP) serving both high-risk and traditional industries. They process millions of transactions through 80+ payment methods, including cryptocurrency, across Africa, Europe, and LATAM.
Their platform is built on a scalable microservices architecture with a strong focus on security, automation, and high availability. As their infrastructure continues to grow, they're looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to help them scale and evolve their cloud platform.
Their team of 80+ professionals works in a hybrid format from offices in Kyiv, Lisbon, Limassol, and London, as well as remotely across the globe.
Role Mission
Build, automate, and maintain the infrastructure that powers the company's payment platform.
You'll be responsible for ensuring high availability, secure deployments, reliable CI/CD processes, and scalable cloud infrastructure while working closely with engineering teams to deliver new features quickly and safely.
Your success will be measured by infrastructure stability, deployment reliability, automation level, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and improve production and staging infrastructure.
Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code.
Manage secrets and configuration securely.
Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
Ensure infrastructure reliability, scalability, and security.
Support engineering teams with deployment automation and cloud best practices.
Maintain technical documentation and operational standards.
Required Skills
Strong experience with Docker, Docker Swarm, and Portainer.
Hands-on experience with AWS (ECR, IAM/STS, S3, VPC).
Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu.
Strong knowledge of GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows, self-hosted runners, and OIDC.
Experience with HashiCorp Vault or OpenBao.
Experience using Ansible.
Excellent knowledge of Git, including submodules and CI/CD migration.
Practical experience supporting PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka in production.
Experience building monitoring and alerting solutions using Grafana.
Nice to Have
Kubernetes.
Experience working in fintech or payment processing.
Understanding of PCI DSS requirements.
Experience with SAST / DAST.
Knowledge of Supply Chain Security best practices.
