Role Summary
Sprinter Health is seeking a temporary Logistics Coordinator to provide after-hours and weekend coverage for our travel operations. This role will serve as the primary point of contact for time-sensitive travel and logistics needs that arise outside of standard business hours.
The ideal candidate is highly responsive, organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable making decisions independently using established processes and escalation pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor designated communication channels during assigned after-hours and weekend shifts and respond promptly to urgent travel and logistics needs
Support Sprinters with time-sensitive travel issues, including flight disruptions, hotel concerns, transportation changes, and other unexpected travel needs
Coordinate and make necessary changes to existing travel arrangements using established company guidelines
Troubleshoot issues and identify practical solutions that minimize operational disruption and unnecessary travel costs
Determine when an issue can be resolved independently versus when it requires escalation
Escalate urgent or high-impact issues to the appropriate on-call team member or leader
Communicate clearly and professionally with Sprinters and internal stakeholders throughout issue resolution
Maintain accurate documentation of issues, decisions, travel changes, and associated costs
Provide clear handoffs to the weekday Logistics team for unresolved issues or items requiring follow-up
Follow established travel policies, SOPs, and escalation procedures
Typical Issues You May Support
Flight delays, cancellations, or missed connections
Last-minute hotel changes or accommodation issues
Rental car or ground transportation problems
Unexpected changes to a Sprinter's travel assignment
Urgent travel booking or rebooking needs
Questions from traveling Sprinters requiring immediate assistance
Situations requiring escalation due to cost, safety, or operational impact
What We're Looking For
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to remain calm and solutions-oriented when handling time-sensitive issues
Strong judgment and ability to independently triage requests
High level of reliability and responsiveness during scheduled coverage
Comfort working independently with limited real-time supervision
Ability to follow established policies while using good judgment when unexpected situations arise
Comfort working across multiple systems and communication channels
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in travel coordination, logistics, operations, dispatch, field support, customer support, or a similar role
Experience supporting employees or teams who travel frequently
Experience handling urgent or after-hours operational issues
Familiarity with Slack and travel booking platforms
Schedule
This is a temporary position focused specifically on coverage outside of standard business hours.
Coverage may include:
Weekday evenings
Weekends
Select holidays, as needed
Specific coverage hours and scheduling expectations will be established in advance.
Success in This Role Looks Like
Urgent travel issues receive timely responses and resolution
Sprinters know where to go for support when issues arise outside of business hours
Travel disruptions have minimal impact on scheduled operations
Issues are escalated appropriately without unnecessary escalation
Travel changes balance the needs of the Sprinter, the business, and cost
Weekday teams receive clear, accurate handoffs with minimal cleanup required
