Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Aerospace / Flight Dynamics Engineer to create, validate, and review simulation-based engineering tasks using tools such as OpenVSP, XFLR5, FlightGear + JSBSim, OpenRocket, and QGroundControl. The role combines aerodynamic analysis, flight simulation, mission planning, scripting, technical validation, and structured engineering review.
CONTRACT: Contractor assignment, 5 weeks
COMMITMENT: Hourly, upto 40h/week
LOCATIONS: Remote - Bangladesh, Brazil ,Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Vietnam
PROCESS: Home Assignment
NOTES: At least 5 years of aerospace or flight-dynamics experience and proficiency in at least 2 of the listed tools are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Author aerospace and flight-dynamics tasks using relevant simulation and design tools.
- Build and validate realistic engineering problem statements, models, calculations, and technical assets.
- Create golden geometries, mission plans, and reference solutions.
- Score and review geometry, route, and airframe files against defined criteria.
- Define inputs, assumptions, constraints, operating conditions, and expected output metrics.
- Translate engineering requirements into simulation models and repeatable workflows.
- Validate results using analytical checks, sanity checks, and engineering judgment.
- Review other engineers’ submissions for technical correctness and completeness.
- Optimize designs based on simulation outputs and identified constraints.
- Document methodologies, assumptions, engineering decisions, and final results clearly.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in aerospace engineering or flight dynamics.
- Hands-on experience with scripting for engineering or simulation workflows.
- Proficiency in at least 2 of the following: OpenVSP, XFLR5, FlightGear + JSBSim, OpenRocket, QGroundControl.
- Strong experience with aerodynamic, flight-performance, trajectory, mission, or airframe analysis.
- Ability to define robust engineering problems with clear assumptions and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical validation and engineering sanity-checking skills.
- Experience producing clear technical documentation and reviewing engineering work.
- Strong written and spoken English.
