Requirements
What you'll do:
- Lead and mature vulnerability management activities across enterprise environments, driving vulnerabilities through to remediation
- Prioritise, track and report on security vulnerabilities using tools such as Microsoft Defender and Tenable
- Work closely with infrastructure, cloud, service delivery and customer teams to implement effective remediation strategies
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to team members while coordinating workloads and outcomes
- Develop and improve vulnerability management processes, reporting, governance and compliance frameworks
- Monitor remediation performance, analyse trends and provide actionable recommendations to reduce risk
- Produce executive and customer-facing reports covering risk exposure, remediation progress and compliance status
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, operational efficiencies and best-practice security processes
What you'll bring:
- Experience in vulnerability management, cyber security operations, infrastructure engineering track record of driving vulnerability remediation outcomes
- Experience leading or mentoring technical teams and driving accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Strong knowledge of ASD Essential Eight requirements, vulnerability remediation and patching practices
- Hands-on experience with vulnerability management platforms such as Microsoft Defender, Tenable or similar, including vulnerability assessment, prioritisation, remediation tracking and reporting.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure, operating systems, applications and cloud technologies
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience assessing risk, validating remediation activities and providing practical security recommendations
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ASD Essential Eight, ISM, CIS Controls, NIST CSF or ISO 27001
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, SSCP, Microsoft Security, Azure Security Engineer or equivalent experience will be highly regarded
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced managed services environment with a strong focus on customer outcomes
- A proactive, accountable mindset with a proven ability to follow through and deliver results.
Note: You will be required to get NV1 Australian Security clearance so please ensure that you are eligible before applying.
