The Team
We are a group of vibrant, diverse people who love travelling and never settle on quality. Each one of us didn’t join Welcome by chance and believes deeply in what Welcome is trying to achieve, so we work relentlessly to make that happen. We challenge common logic, focus on design, put simplicity and usability first, and create memorable experiences. We keep learning and exploring better ways to serve our community and grow personally and professionally in our respective fields. We stay humble along the way, with a “pay it forward” mentality, but with big and bold goals.
As a Regional Destination Operations Manager, you’ll oversee a team that manages multiple destinations within our global network. Your mission is to ensure each destination operates efficiently, maintains healthy engagement with its driver community, and consistently delivers strong operational performance.
You’ll provide leadership, structure, and oversight — setting cadence, defining priorities, and ensuring the right actions are taken to drive fulfilment, quality, and cost efficiency. You’ll act as the key bridge between the field and central teams, ensuring that market intelligence and operational insights inform company-wide decisions on pricing, capacity planning, and product development.
This is a management role for a structured and strategic operator who can balance analytical rigor with people leadership and local accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead a multi-destination team: Guide and develop Destination Managers responsible for local performance. Set clear goals, ensure accountability, and align regional results with company KPIs such as Growth Fulfillment Score (GFS), Great Rides %, and Cost Efficiency.
- Oversee regional performance: Monitor key metrics, identify trends and root causes of underperformance, and drive timely corrective actions to protect and improve fulfillment outcomes.
- Ensure operational governance: Maintain a disciplined cadence of reviews, decision logs, and follow-ups. Ensure SOPs, playbooks, and configuration standards are accurate, adopted, and consistently applied across destinations.
- Translate market intelligence into action: Structure and validate local insights (pricing, competitor pay, driver costs, regulations, community sentiment) to inform central pricing and capacity strategies.
- Foster community engagement: Strengthen relationships with drivers through ambassadors, targeted communication, and incentive programs that improve utilization and satisfaction.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration: Represent your region in central discussions, ensuring field realities influence strategy and new tools or features are effectively rolled out.
- Drive compliance and quality: Ensure destinations operate within local regulatory frameworks and uphold company quality standards. Proactively surface and escalate any legal or compliance risks.
- Promote continuous improvement: Identify and implement measurable improvements in process, performance, or community engagement every month.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in operations, marketplace management, mobility, or logistics, ideally within a multi-market or regional leadership role.
- Proven people leadership experience — skilled in developing managers, driving accountability, and fostering high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, able to interpret data, spot patterns, and translate insights into clear operational actions.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence central teams and represent regional priorities.
- Operational governance expertise — experienced in setting cadence, maintaining SOPs, and managing performance processes at scale.
- Understanding of local market dynamics (supply/demand balance, competition, cost structure, regulation) and the ability to translate them into actionable insights.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, data-driven environments where priorities evolve quickly, and impact is measured continuously.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
