Solvd Inc. is a rapidly growing AI-native consulting and technology services firm delivering enterprise transformation across cloud, data, software engineering, and artificial intelligence. We work with industry-leading organizations to design, build, and operationalize technology solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.
Following the acquisition of Tooploox, a premier AI and product development company, Solvd now offers true end-to-end delivery—from strategic advisory and solution design to custom AI development and enterprise-scale implementation. Our capability centers combine deep technical expertise, proven delivery methodologies, and sector-specific knowledge to address complex business challenges quickly and effectively.
We are looking for a Financial Specialist to join our Controllership team. This is a hands-on finance role with broad ownership across AP, AR, Billing, Revenue Recognition, and monthly close — and an equal mandate to improve how Finance operates. You'll be expected to challenge legacy processes, identify inefficiencies, and actively use automation and AI tools to make Finance more scalable.
This role suits someone who takes ownership end-to-end, manages competing priorities independently, and genuinely enjoys making things work better — not just maintaining the status quo.
What you'll do
Manage Accounts Payable activities — invoice review, vendor communication, payments, accruals, prepaids, and reconciliations.
Manage customer Billing and Accounts Receivable — invoice issuance, aging, collections, and resolution of payment discrepancies.
Support Revenue Recognition and ensure consistency between contracts, project activity, billing, and accounting records.
Participate in monthly close activities, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
Manage simultaneous requests across Finance, ensuring critical and time-sensitive matters are addressed appropriately.
Identify opportunities to automate recurring Finance activities and actively use AI and automation tools to design and implement more efficient workflows.
Develop, improve, and monitor internal controls across Finance processes.
Challenge existing ways of working and propose practical improvements rather than defaulting to legacy processes.
Basic qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong hands-on experience across AP, AR, Billing, Revenue Recognition, and monthly close.
Solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting controls.
Demonstrated ability to independently organize, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent requests from different stakeholders.
Proven ownership mindset — takes issues from identification through resolution without needing to be pushed.
Strong interest and practical experience using AI, automation, or technology to improve Finance processes.
Process-oriented thinker who identifies inefficiencies and implements solutions rather than working around them.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to join calls scheduled in PST timezone.
Preferred qualifications
Experience with Light and/or QuickBooks.
Prior experience building or implementing Finance automation workflows.
Background working in a technology, consulting, or high-growth company environment.
When you join Solvd, you'll…
Shape real-world AI-driven projects across key industries, working with clients from startup innovation to enterprise transformation.
Be part of a global team with equal opportunities for collaboration across continents and cultures.
Thrive in an inclusive environment that prioritizes continuous learning, innovation, and ethical AI standards.
Ready to make an impact?
If you're excited to build things that matter, champion responsible AI, and grow with some of the industry’s sharpest minds. Apply today and let’s innovate together.
