Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency that connects talented professionals with high-growth companies around the world.
For this opportunity, we are partnering with an established e-commerce brand seeking a Senior E-commerce Marketing Manager to oversee multiple marketing channels, manage agency relationships, and help drive performance across paid media, creative production, email marketing, CRO, and organic social.
This is a highly cross-functional role for someone who understands performance marketing, knows how to evaluate high-quality creative and email campaigns, and can keep several external agencies accountable.
You will work directly under the Marketing Director, taking ownership of day-to-day marketing operations and freeing the director to focus on higher-level strategy. The role offers a clear growth path toward becoming Marketing Director.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Strategy and Quality Control
- Review and provide strategic feedback on performance creatives produced by four external UGC and YouTube advertising agencies.
- Evaluate creative concepts, hooks, scripts, offers, messaging, and overall execution before campaigns go live.
- Ensure creative output aligns with the brand’s positioning, customer insights, and performance goals.
- Identify creative patterns, winning angles, and opportunities for iteration based on advertising results.
- Maintain a consistently high standard across all paid media assets.
Email Marketing
- Review and quality-control email campaigns produced by the external email marketing agency.
- Assess campaign strategy, copy, design, offers, segmentation, flows, and overall customer journey.
- Ensure email output is aligned with the brand’s voice and commercial objectives.
- Monitor performance and recommend improvements based on engagement, conversion, and revenue data.
Paid Media and Analytics
- Oversee Meta advertising performance in collaboration with the in-house Meta Ads Specialist.
- Review campaign results, identify performance trends, and help guide testing priorities.
- Gradually develop toward more hands-on campaign management and execution.
- Monitor performance through Triple Whale and other analytics platforms.
- Translate data into clear insights, priorities, and actionable recommendations.
- Connect creative, email, website, and paid media performance to identify growth opportunities.
Agency and Project Management
- Manage communication, meetings, deliverables, deadlines, and accountability across multiple external agencies.
- Project manage the CRO agency and ensure testing roadmaps and deliverables stay on track.
- Coordinate with Google Ads, SEO, affiliate marketing, and graphic design partners.
- Provide clear briefs, feedback, priorities, and follow-up actions.
- Ensure agencies collaborate effectively and remain aligned with the broader marketing strategy.
- Escalate performance issues and recommend changes when agency output does not meet expectations.
Organic Social Oversight
- Project manage an organic social media team of three.
- Track assignments, deadlines, and content delivery.
- Ensure consistent execution without needing to personally lead organic social strategy.
Marketing Operations
- Take ownership of the daily coordination and execution of marketing initiatives.
- Create clear systems for tracking priorities, deliverables, performance, and accountability.
- Run efficient meetings and maintain strong asynchronous communication.
- Reduce the Marketing Director’s operational workload by approximately four to five hours per day.
- Grow into broader strategic ownership as the business scales.
Requirements
- Significant experience managing marketing for established e-commerce brands or e-commerce agencies.
- Experience with legitimate product-based e-commerce businesses; dropshipping-only backgrounds will not be considered.
- Advanced understanding of performance creative strategy, especially for Meta, UGC, and YouTube advertising.
- Advanced experience reviewing or managing email marketing campaigns and automated flows.
- Strong understanding of Meta Ads strategy, campaign performance, and creative testing.
- Experience managing multiple external agencies or specialized marketing partners simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert performance data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent project management, organization, and follow-through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to confidently challenge weak work, provide useful feedback, and hold partners accountable.
- Availability to maintain meaningful overlap with Eastern Time working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with e-commerce brands spending more than $100,000 per month on advertising.
- Experience using Triple Whale or similar e-commerce attribution and analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with CRO testing and conversion optimization processes.
- Working knowledge of Google Ads, SEO, affiliate marketing, and organic social media.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude.
- Familiarity with MCP connectors, custom AI workflows, or marketing automations.
- Previous experience supporting a Marketing Director, Head of Growth, or senior marketing executive.
