About the Role

In this role, you’ll balance direct patient care with cultivating strong, supportive relationships across our 1099 psychiatric network. The ideal candidate brings exceptional organizational skills, clear communication, sound clinical judgment, and an enthusiastic approach to peer outreach. This is a full-time W-2 position (5 days/8 hrs per week) reporting directly to the Associate National Medical Director.
Required Qualifications
Active, unrestricted PMHNP license in California with an active CA DEA registration. Current Board Certification as a PMHNP (ANCC or AANP).
Minimum of 3 years of outpatient psychiatric practice experience.
Prior experience providing comprehensive psychiatric care in a fully remote, telehealth setting, including deep familiarity with remote safety protocols and clinical considerations.
Strong working knowledge of psychiatric CPT coding and documentation requirements, including E/M level selection (MDM and Total Time), psychotherapy add-on codes (90833), and compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to conduct chart reviews, deliver empathetic yet direct feedback, and translate clinical findings into actionable improvement plans.
Proficiency with modern EHRs, ticketers, and data platforms (e.g., AMD, Salesforce, Zendesk, Airtable, Looker, G-Suite) and comfort adapting to new software quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
Active PMHNP licensure in multiple states.
Prior experience in quality improvement, chart audits, or peer coaching—particularly with 1099 independent contractors or non-traditional employment models.
Experience or interest in leveraging AI tools (e.g., AI scribes, AI-assisted chart review workflows) to enhance clinical quality and productivity.
Experience writing clinical guidance documents, documentation templates, or coaching resources for a clinical audience.
Exceptional eye for subtle clinical, coding, or documentation discrepancies in chart audits.
