The listing
At Tilt, we see a side of people that traditional lenders miss. Our mobile-first products and machine learning-powered credit models look beyond credit scores, using over 250 real-time financial signals to recognize real potential. With millions of customers worldwide, we're not just changing how people access financial products — we're creating a new credit system that backs the working, whatever they're working toward.
The opportunity: Finance Systems & Automation AnalystTilt is hiring a Finance Systems & Automation Analyst to automate the manual work in our accounting close and reporting. This role is for someone who understands accounting but would rather write the query than update the spreadsheet. You'll take recurring workflows — reconciliations, variance analysis, close schedules, audit pulls — and rebuild them as automated, documented, repeatable processes using SQL, Python, and our BI stack. You'll spend most of your time hands-on: writing queries, cleaning ERP and subledger data, building dashboards, and fixing the reports that break.
Tilt is a remote-first company that fosters connectivity through regular offsites. Travel for company offsites is required at least twice per year.
How you'll make an impact
Automate recurring accounting workflows with reusable AI-assisted tools for reconciliations, variance analysis, flux commentary, and close.
Pull, clean, and join data from NetSuite (GL balances, posted transactions, SuiteQL queries) with subledgers and other source systems to support reconciliations
Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for Accounting and Finance
Partner with BI to build and test financial data models, trace dbt/SQL logic to diagnose discrepancies, and validate outputs against the GL.
Prepare audit and PBC requests, and document how each process and query works
Troubleshoot broken reports, failed data loads, and reconciliation breaks
Handle day-to-day administration of finance systems including NetSuite, Aleph, and AP automation tools
Replace manual spreadsheet processes with automated ones, one workflow at a time
Why you're a great fit
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
1–5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or data-focused role
Strong SQL skills — you can write and debug complex joins and aggregations without help
Working knowledge of dbt (models, sources, lineage) — enough to trace a metric back through its transformations, not just query the final table
Able to proactively test changes end-to-end and hunt for issues in existing data models, queries, and processes
Advanced Excel, and an interest in building solutions that go beyond it using AI tools
Hands-on experience with an ERP such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP
Able to work independently, manage a queue of requests, manage concurrent projects and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred but not required: BI tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI; familiarity with accounting principles and financial reporting logic; CPA or currently pursuing CPA
