About Us:
Comfrt is a fast-growing comfort-wear brand built around cozy, elevated everyday essentials and a feel-good ethos. We're launching a new wholesale channel to put our products in front of independent boutiques and lifestyle retailers, and we're looking for someone to help us build and run it from day one.
About the Job:
We're hiring a contractor to be the right hand for our wholesale channel — the person who keeps our storefront polished, our assortment sharp, our orders moving, and our reporting tight. You'll own the day-to-day of the platform end to end and partner closely with our team lead on the decisions that matter. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role for someone who loves merchandising, thrives on organization, and wants to help shape a channel from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Merchandising & content: keep collections, product listings, landing pages, and on-platform content accurate, current, and on-brand — including new arrivals, seasonal updates, imagery, and copy.
- Assortment: manage which products and collections are live, spot gaps and opportunities, and help shape the assortment strategy across core and overstock inventory.
- Order management: review incoming orders and work alongside the team lead to accept or reject them, applying our retailer and territory guidelines.
- Operations coordination: manage catalog accuracy, order minimums, territory and pricing settings, and coordinate fulfillment so orders ship smoothly.
- Cross-functional coordination: partner with creative, marketing, merchandising, ops, and finance to source the assets, inventory, and approvals the channel needs.
- Reporting: build and maintain regular performance reporting — sales, orders, retailer relationships, reorders — and surface trends and insights.
- Opportunities & growth: identify promotional, marketing, and assortment opportunities and platform features we should be leveraging to grow the channel.
- Be the right hand: act as the go-to owner for the channel's day-to-day, keeping the team lead looped in and escalating decisions as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2–4+ years in ecommerce or wholesale merchandising, marketplace operations, retail buying, or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience managing an online store, marketplace, or wholesale platform (DTC platforms and online wholesale marketplaces a strong plus).
- A sharp merchandising eye and strong brand sensibility — you know what good looks like.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail; you keep many moving parts accurate and on schedule.
- Comfort with data and reporting (Excel / Google Sheets); you can turn numbers into clear takeaways.
- Strong cross-functional communication and a proactive, self-starter mindset — comfortable with ambiguity and building process where none exists.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with online wholesale marketplaces or B2B retail channels.
- Background in apparel, loungewear, or lifestyle brands.
- Familiarity with Shopify, PIM/catalog tools, or marketplace back-ends.
