The client is looking for an experienced, ambitious sales professional to help grow its commercial customer base and play a key role in building its future outbound sales team.
You’ll initially focus on following up existing remedial quotations with current customers, giving you an opportunity to learn the business, services and customer base. From there, the role will develop into proactive business development, speaking directly with decision-makers including architects, letting agents and property developers to generate new quotation opportunities and recurring commercial business.
This is not simply an appointment-setting role. The client is looking for someone with the potential to become a senior member of the sales function and ultimately help lead and develop the team as it grows.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow up existing remedial and service quotations with current customers.
- Conduct proactive outbound calling to prospective commercial customers.
- Build relationships with architects, letting agents, property developers and other relevant decision-makers.
- Identify opportunities for the client to quote for new work and recurring multi-site contracts.
- Communicate confidently and naturally with prospects rather than relying solely on scripts.
- Maintain accurate records of conversations, follow-ups and opportunities.
- Consistently follow up prospects and opportunities through the sales process.
- Work closely with the Directors as the outbound sales strategy develops.
- Progress towards a senior/team-lead position as additional salespeople join the business.
Requirements
- A proven track record of success in B2B sales, business development or outbound telephone sales.
- Evidence of strong performance against sales or business development targets.
- A consistent employment history demonstrating commitment and progression.
- Excellent spoken English and the confidence to represent a UK business professionally.
- Strong natural communication and rapport-building skills.
- Comfortable holding credible conversations with business owners and senior decision-makers.
- Commercially minded, resilient and motivated by achieving results.
- Able to think on your feet and have a genuine conversation rather than simply reading from a script.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- The ambition and leadership potential to help build and manage a future sales team.
- Own dedicated workspace, laptop, high speed reliable internet.
DESIRED (NOT REQUIRED):
Experience within fire and security is not essential. The client is more interested in finding an excellent salesperson with the right attitude, ability and potential.
Experience in any of the following would, however, be advantageous:
- Fire and security
- Property or facilities management
- Construction
- Commercial services
- Selling to UK businesses
- CRM and remote sales environments
