Position: Sustainability Consultant
Salary: € 1400 - € 1600

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a Sustainability Consultant to lead on carbon footprint calculations, produce clear and accurate client-facing reports, and provide actionable recommendations to help firms reduce their environmental impact. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect, verify, and analyse client activity data (energy use, travel, waste, procurement, etc.) to calculate organisational carbon footprints (Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions)
- Apply recognised methodologies and standards (e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, SECR, PAS 2060) to ensure calculations are accurate and defensible
- Produce clear, well-structured carbon footprint reports suitable for client boards, investors, or regulatory submission
- Translate technical findings into practical, prioritised recommendations for emissions reduction tailored to each client's sector and operations
- Support clients with target-setting (e.g. Science Based Targets) and net zero roadmaps
- Stay current with UK and international sustainability regulations, reporting frameworks, and best practice
- Liaise directly with clients to gather data, present findings, and answer queries
- Manage multiple client projects concurrently, meeting agreed deadlines
- Contribute to internal tools, templates, and calculation methodologies to improve efficiency and consistency
Requirements
- Proven experience calculating carbon footprints using the GHG Protocol or equivalent methodology
- Strong Excel/data analysis skills; experience with carbon accounting software (e.g. SINAI, Watershed, Normative, or similar) advantageous
- Excellent written communication skills, with demonstrable experience producing professional reports
- Ability to translate complex technical data into clear recommendations for non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets
- Good working knowledge of UK sustainability regulation and reporting requirements (e.g. SECR, TCFD, CSRD if working with EU-linked clients)
