About the role:
We are looking for a Middle Data Engineer to support ongoing development efforts focused on finance, billing, and operational data processes. The role involves designing, developing, and optimizing database solutions, data pipelines, and integrations while working closely with engineering, finance, and business stakeholders.

Position requirements
Required Qualifications
* 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, Database Engineer, Database Developer, or similar role.
* Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
* Hands-on experience working with SQL Server in Azure environments.
* Strong experience developing and optimizing stored procedures.
* Experience with Snowflake.
* Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
* Experience working with data integration and ETL processes.
* Advanced English level.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and proactively in a small, agile team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Azure Data Factory or other Azure data pipeline technologies.
Experience in logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, or supply chain domains.
* Familiarity with finance, billing, invoicing, or revenue-related business processes.
* Experience supporting data-driven reporting and analytics solutions.
Location & Collaboration Requirements
* Available for overlap with US business hours, preferably until 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM EDT.
* Comfortable working in a distributed international team environment.
Position responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain SQL Server databases and related solutions in Azure.
* Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
* Support finance and billing systems by ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and performance.
* Design and maintain data integration and ETL processes between operational systems and data platforms.
* Work with Snowflake to support reporting, analytics, and data management initiatives.
* Build and maintain Azure-based data pipelines and data movement processes.
* Collaborate closely with software engineers, business stakeholders, and finance teams to understand and implement business requirements.
* Monitor database performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities.
* Participate in troubleshooting production issues and implementing long-term solutions.
* Contribute to data architecture and database best practices.
