About the Role
This is the first US commercial hire at a YC-backed enterprise AI startup building agents that automate complex system implementations, including ERP deployments, AI rollouts, and customer onboarding. You will work directly with the founding team to open the American market, close the first wave of US customers, and build the partner channel and playbook that future sellers will inherit. It is a rare opportunity to own a market from day one at an early-stage company with strong early traction.
What You'll Do
Own the full US sales cycle end to end: self-sourced outbound, discovery, demo, technical evaluation, procurement, and close.
Sell both direct enterprise platform contracts and a partner channel of systems integrators, VARs, and consultancies.
Build US pipeline from near zero by defining the target account list, testing positioning, and identifying which segments convert.
Run demos and technical evaluations independently, translating agentic workflows into the language of finance, IT, and operations buyers.
Navigate multi-stakeholder deals from a hands-on champion up to the CFO or CIO who signs.
Recruit, enable, and co-sell with SI and VAR partners to compound the channel over time.
Codify the GTM motion: qualification criteria, discovery questions, pricing guardrails, objection handling, and deal stages.
Maintain a tight weekly feedback loop with the founding team to shape product direction.
Grow into the US commercial lead, eventually hiring and managing the team around you.
What We're Looking For
5 or more years closing complex B2B software deals end to end, including self-sourced pipeline.
Experience selling ERP, iPaaS, data integration, or data infrastructure platforms (such as NetSuite, SAP, Sage Intacct, Boomi, Workato, Celigo, Fivetran, or similar).
Technical credibility with data, systems, and integration buyers, with the ability to run demos and hold architecture conversations independently.
Demonstrated success navigating and closing multi-stakeholder deals involving finance, IT, operations, and C-suite buyers, including $50k or higher ACV deals.
Experience building, recruiting, enabling, or co-selling with SI, VAR, or consulting partner channels.
Founding-hire temperament: comfortable operating with no dedicated SE, no marketing engine, and a founding team in a different timezone.
Prior experience as a founding or first AE at a seed or Series A AI or developer-tools company is a strong plus.
Based in the US and willing to travel to customer sites and occasionally to Europe.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary range: $150,000 to $250,000 USD annually, plus above-market equity for an early-stage hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Fully remote, open to candidates anywhere in the US.
