About the Opportunity
Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a global enterprise cybersecurity company building a new generation of products to secure AI agents, LLM-powered applications, and the data they access.
The Endpoint Security team extends these controls directly to user devices, detecting AI tools and agents running on laptops and workstations, monitoring their access to local data, and enforcing security policies where traffic never reaches a gateway.
You’ll build the Go-based endpoint components and backend services that power this system.
This role is suited to a systems-minded engineer who is comfortable working close to the operating system and understands the challenges of performance, resource usage, reliability, and software running across machines you don't control.
What You’ll Do
Design and build Go agents and backend services for endpoint visibility and security enforcement across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Detect AI applications, local models, browser-based agents, and IDE assistants, and monitor their interaction with sensitive files and processes.
Build backend services for endpoint fleet management, including configuration, policy distribution, telemetry ingestion, and health monitoring.
Optimize endpoint software for low resource usage, reliability, safe updates, and resilience on unreliable networks.
Collaborate with security researchers on detection logic and with platform teams on telemetry and data pipelines.
Contribute to cross-platform testing, code signing, release engineering, and production readiness.
Use AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate implementation, testing, debugging, and problem-solving.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of backend or systems development experience, including 3+ years building production software in Go.
Hands-on experience with OS-level programming, including processes, file systems, networking stacks, and system APIs on at least two of Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Strong understanding of concurrency, networking, and performance in Go.
Working knowledge of Python for tooling and testing.
Experience with gRPC/REST APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one major cloud provider.
Strong testing discipline, particularly across multiple operating systems and environments.
Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable using modern AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or similar. This is a must-have.
Strong ownership and the ability to work independently in a remote-first, distributed team.
Nice to Have
Experience building EDR, endpoint agents, or device-management software.
Familiarity with eBPF, ETW, Apple's Endpoint Security framework, or other kernel-adjacent technologies.
Experience with browser extension internals or IDE plugin ecosystems.
Previous experience in cybersecurity, security tooling, or trust & safety.
Experience introducing AI-assisted or agentic development workflows across engineering teams.
AI-First Engineering
AI is a core part of the engineering workflow on this team.
During the interview process, you'll be asked about how you use AI in real-world software development, including the tools you use, how you validate their output, and where AI has changed the way you work.
We're looking for engineers who use AI as a force multiplier for quality, productivity, and problem-solving, not simply as an autocomplete tool.
Why Join
Work on a greenfield product at the intersection of cybersecurity and agentic AI.
Build software that runs directly on endpoints and operates at enterprise scale.
Solve challenging systems problems across operating systems, networking, security, and distributed backend infrastructure.
Take ownership of a critical workstream and influence architecture from an early stage.
Collaborate with a highly technical, distributed team where AI is a core part of the development process.
