The listing
As Brand Director, you own the brand end to end: brand strategy, creative direction, content and community. You will work in a pair with a Consumer Research Manager hired alongside you — the two of you produce the brand strategy and the baseline the whole brand function will be measured against.
This is a builder's role in a company that has scaled faster than its brand. You will own the standard, not just the output.
Responsibilities
- Own and develop the brand platform: positioning, purpose, personality, promise, and brand architecture across GoMining products and sub-brands.
- Build the brand strategy on research, not opinion — in partnership with Consumer Research, using brand health, brand lift and U&A data.
- Define the role of trust and credibility in a category where scepticism is the default, and build the brand response to it.
- Own brand expression and the standard it is held to: visual and verbal identity, brand guidelines, tone of voice across markets and languages.
- Own the content strategy — what we publish, why, for whom, and how it compounds.
- Own community strategy and its integration with brand: how community becomes an owned brand asset rather than a support channel.
- Set the creative brief standard for the company and hold the bar on everything that ships with our logo on it.
- Lead 360 campaigns, brand activations for major partnerships and collaborations, including sports and premium brand partnerships.
- Manage creative and brand agencies, external partners and brand budgets.
- Define brand KPIs with Research and report them into the marketing OKR cycle.
What success looks like:
- First 30 days: brand audit complete, gaps named, brand strategy work programme agreed with the CMO and Research; brand health baseline commissioned; content and community transition plan decided.
- 3 months: brand platform approved and rolled out; content and community operating to a single strategy; creative quality & performance visibly up.
- 6 months: brand strategy is measured — awareness, differentiation, consideration and trust tracked against a baseline you established.
Requirements
- 8+ years in brand, brand strategy or brand marketing, including 3+ years at director level with team ownership.
- You have built or rebuilt a brand platform from research — not refreshed a logo, but changed what a brand means and proved it moved.
- Strong consumer brand background: fintech, consumer tech or a fast-growing brand in a category with a trust problem.
- Genuine creative judgement: you can direct designers, writers and film, and articulate why something is not good enough — while working through a production team.
- Experience owning content and community as part of a brand, not as separate silos.
- Comfortable with research and measurement, you argue with data rather than around it.
- Experience managing agencies and meaningful brand budgets.
- Fluent English; excellent verbal and written communication..
Nice to Have
- Sponsorship or partnership activation experience.
- Multi-market brand work across US, EU, MENA, LATAM or APAC.
- Experience building a brand function inside a company that grew on performance marketing.
Benefits
- Professional growth: support for courses, conferences, and English learning (up to 100% coverage).
- Work-life fit: remote or hybrid format with flexible hours across international teams.
- Paid leave: up to 20 vacation days + 8 company holidays + 5 personal days per year
- Recognition programs: structured performance reviews and team awards.
- Team culture: retreats in international locations (for example, company apartments in Cyprus).
