I'm Angelo Pace, Senior Manager, Platform at Teamworks. Our Platform Engineering team owns the infrastructure that keeps elite sports organizations running. I'm looking for a Platform Engineer II to support day-to-day operations of our AWS infrastructure and help us drive meaningful improvements to observability and stability as we grow.
This is a collaborative, hands-on role. You’ll work alongside a platform team that serves application teams across the organization, and the best work you’ll do here is the kind that makes those teams’ lives measurably easier.
The RoleOwn day-to-day operations and maintenance of our AWS environment, including EKS cluster management, EC2, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, S3, and IAM
Manage deployments of new features and fixes, coordinating with application teams through structured intake and ad hoc request processes
Build and maintain reusable Terraform modules, Helm charts, and CI/CD pipeline templates (GitLab CI) that enforce organizational standards for scalability, compliance, and observability
Diagnose cross-cutting infrastructure issues — networking misconfigurations, IAM permission boundaries, Kubernetes scheduling failures — evaluating blast radius and downstream impact before proposing solutions
Partner with application teams to translate platform changes and new standards into clear, actionable guidance that reduces friction across the organization
Drive improvements to environment observability and stability using Datadog, and participate in on-call rotation with full production ownership
What You Must Bring
3+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering
Strong proficiency in Linux administration in production environments, including RHEL-based system management
Proven hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred), Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or comparable tooling
Experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS
Strong cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to translate platform changes into clear guidance for application teams
Even Better If
You have experience with configuration management and automation tooling (Ansible, AWX, and Packer)
You have familiarity with Python or shell scripting for operational tooling, or experience with Datadog or a comparable observability platform
You have exposure to AWS Bedrock or AI agent development in an infrastructure context
Platform Engineering at Teamworks sits at the foundation of everything we build and operate. The person in this role will have real ownership over systems that matter, with a team that values good engineering and clear communication in equal measure.
This role is not eligible for sponsorship at this time.
