About the Role
The Chief Design Officer will own product design quality across the group's consumer products and brands. This is a hands-on design leadership role with direct involvement in our most important products and user experiences.
What you will be doing
Set the design direction and quality bar across group products.
Work directly on or review critical user journeys, product concepts and interfaces.
Turn complex financial and AI workflows into simple consumer experiences.
Set standards across product design, interaction, visual design and design systems.
Review shipped products and identify specific usability and design problems.
Work with product and engineering from early concepts through production.
Recruit and assess senior product, UI and brand designers.
What you will need
Strong portfolio of shipped consumer technology products with meaningful usage.
Deep product and interaction design capability, not primarily people management.
Strong visual judgement and attention to interface details.
Ability to prototype and communicate product interactions directly.
Experience working closely with product and engineering on shipped products.
Hands-on design style - able to create, critique and materially improve design work directly.
