We are looking for a Mid-Level Data Developer / Data Analyst to join our team supporting a Data & AI Governance practice for one of our clients.
In this role, you will work with data analysis and governance initiatives, helping to ensure that data is well-organized, properly documented, accessible, and managed according to established standards and policies.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong analytical mindset who enjoys working with data, governance concepts, and cross-functional teams, and who is interested in contributing to the development and maturity of a Data & AI Governance practice.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and evolution of Data & AI Governance practices.
- Perform data analysis to support governance initiatives and business needs.
- Work with data catalogs, glossaries, business terms, datasets, attributes, and data lineage.
- Support data curation and stewardship activities, ensuring data is properly organized, documented, and maintained.
- Help define and maintain data governance policies, standards, and processes.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to understand data requirements and improve data quality and usability.
- Analyze and document data-related information and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use Python to support data analysis, automation, and data-related activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data governance processes and practices.
- Work collaboratively with technical and business teams to ensure alignment between data governance and business needs.
Technical Requirements
Data Analysis
- Experience with Data Analysis and working with structured data.
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and communicate data-related information.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Data Governance
Experience with Data Governance concepts, such as:
- Data Catalogs
- Data Policies
- Data Glossaries
- Business Terms
- Data Sets
- Data Attributes

Programming
- Python programming skills.
- Experience using Python for data analysis, manipulation, or automation.
Data Stewardship & Curation
- Experience with Data Stewardship activities.

- Understanding of data lifecycle and data management practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Developer, Data Governance Analyst, or similar role.
- Solid understanding of Data Governance concepts and practices.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and data-related documentation.
- Experience working with data catalogs, business terms, metadata, datasets, attributes, or data lineage.
- Python programming experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proactive mindset and willingness to contribute to the development of new processes and practices.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in Data & AI Governance initiatives.
- Experience with Data Governance or Data Management tools.
- Knowledge of Data Quality frameworks and practices.
- Experience working in an international or multicultural environment.
- Experience supporting the implementation or improvement of Data Governance frameworks.
