Job Summary
We’re looking for a Mid-Level Demolition Estimator with 3+ years of specialized U.S. demolition estimating experience. This is a full-time remote role responsible for quantity takeoffs, bid preparation, vendor coordination, and pre-construction support.
Responsibilities
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for demolition projects.
Prepare accurate estimates, bids, and cost breakdowns.
Review plans, specifications, scopes, and project documents.
Process RFIs, submittals, revisions, and bid updates.
Conduct vendor and subcontractor outreach for pricing.
Coordinate with subcontractors and support pre-construction activities.
Track bids, costs, and estimating information using Excel and QuickBooks.
Provide general operational and administrative support related to demolition bidding.
Maintain accurate and organized estimating documentation.
Required Skills
3+ years of hands-on U.S. demolition estimating experience.
Strong understanding of demolition scopes, quantities, labor, equipment, disposal, hauling, and other demolition-specific cost factors.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
Strong written and spoken English.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness and ability to work 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Pacific Time.
Standout Candidate
The strongest candidate will have direct demolition estimating experience, not simply general construction estimating experience. They should understand the unique pricing considerations involved in tearing down and removing structures, including labor, equipment, hauling, disposal, site conditions, and subcontractor/vendor costs.
