About Foundation Health
Foundation Health is an AI operating system for pharmacy - built by a team who lived the problem firsthand, not one that came to healthcare from the outside. Every day, prior authorizations delay prescriptions, pharmacists lose hours to paperwork instead of patients, and prescriptions slip through the cracks between health systems. We believe thoughtfully applied AI can finally change that - deep, integrated infrastructure that streamlines how care is coordinated, purpose-built for the complexity of specialty pharmacy.
We're building toward a world where pharmacy teams spend their time on patients, not paperwork - where AI handles the routine so clinicians can focus on what only humans can do. Getting there takes the right people. We're looking for curious, ambitious folks who want to help solve healthcare's hardest problems - for our patients, our partners, and each other.
The Role
You'd be joining alongside our QA Lead in the US, with real ownership of building this out properly in the UK: strategy, tooling, standards, process — all still very much taking shape. There's no hands-off management here — everybody, at every level, is hands-on, and that includes you.
And because we're AI-native by design, testing here isn't testing conventional software. You'll be leading the charge on how we test AI-led products across the UK — agentic workflows, LLM-based features, non-deterministic behaviour that doesn't fit a traditional pass/fail script.
What you'll actually do:
Build out our QA function properly: strategy, process, tooling and standards, working alongside our US QA Lead as we grow this on both sides of the Atlantic
Design and own testing for AI-driven features: agentic workflows, LLM outputs, evaluation frameworks, and the genuinely hard question of what "correct" even means when a system doesn't behave the same way twice
Get hands-on with automation using Playwright and TypeScript — and just as hands-on with manual testing, regression and UAT when that's what a release actually needs. This isn't a role where you delegate the manual work away
Set the bar for how quality gets handled company-wide as we scale — not just catching bugs, but building the culture that prevents them
Work closely with Engineering and Product to make sure quality is part of how things get built, not a gate bolted on at the end
Who thrives here?
Builders, not inheritors. You've either grown a QA function from something small before, or you've been desperate for the chance to. Coming into an established, fully-formed process isn't what excites you — shaping something still taking form is.
Genuinely fluent in AI, not just aware of it. AI is already part of your day-to-day — you use it properly, and you're curious about pushing it further. And on the testing side, you've either tested AI-led products already or you understand exactly why testing them is a different problem to testing normal software.
True hybrids, with zero ego about it. You're as comfortable writing a Playwright suite in TypeScript as you are doing hands-on manual testing, regression and UAT. Nobody here delegates the "unglamorous" work away — including you.
Strong technical fundamentals underneath the modern tooling. Test strategy, defect management, release process — the fundamentals are solid, even if the problems you're applying them to are new.
People who lead by doing. This role grows into shaping and leading QA in the UK as we scale. But there's no hands-off management track here — whoever's in this role is still testing, still in the detail, still building alongside the team, at every stage of growth.
