OVERVIEW:
As a Loan Processor, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap between client aspirations and successful loan settlements. You will act as a high-level professional resource, ensuring that every application is handled with the same precision and care as a legal or financial planning firm. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loan Processing & File Management:
- Manage loan applications through various stages of the process
- Assist with preparing and lodging applications via:
- Connective
- Mercury Nexus
- Ensure all files are complete, accurate, and ready for submission
- Maintain clean and organised file structures
Document Collection & Organisation:
- Request and follow up on required documents from clients
- Understand which documents are required for different lenders
- Ensure all documents are correctly named and stored consistently
- Identify missing or incorrect documents before submission
Task Management & Prioritisation:
- Manage multiple files and tasks simultaneously
- Prioritise urgent files vs non-urgent files effectively
- Follow structured workflows while also adapting to ad hoc requests
- Ensure no tasks or follow-ups are missed
Client & Lender Communication:
- Communicate with clients via email to request documents and provide updates
- Follow up outstanding items in a professional and friendly manner
- Assist in following up lenders for application updates
Support to Credit Analysts:
- Assist credit analysts with:
- Document collection
- Lender follow-ups
- File preparation
- Help maintain workflow efficiency across the team
Additional Responsibilities:
- Conduct yearly client reviews
- Order and review property valuations using CoreLogic RP Data
- Assist with general admin and ad hoc tasks as required
- Follow internal processes while also applying initiative when need
Requirements
Essential Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years loan processing experience using:
- Connective
- Mercury Nexus
- Additional 1–2 years experience in the Australian mortgage or lending industry
(broker, lender, or bank experience)
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of:
- Loan application process
- Required documents for mortgage applications
- File structuring and document naming
- Ability to follow and execute processes accurately
- Strong organisational and task management skills
Work Style & Expectations:
- Ability to work both:

- Ad hoc (responsive to urgent instructions)
- Strong ability to prioritise workload effectively
