ABOUT THE COMPANY:
The client specializes in supporting self-employed borrowers through low-doc lending solutions. With extensive experience in non-standard and complex loan scenarios, we have developed deep expertise in this niche, allowing us to provide tailored, high-quality guidance to clients with unique financial situations.
Many of the clients we work with own multiple properties and require lending solutions that accommodate more complex financial structures. Our understanding of these specialized needs enables us to deliver effective strategies, streamlined processes, and exceptional service for borrowers who require flexible, expert-driven loan solutions.
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Credit Analyst to support our senior credit team in the accurate assessment and lodgement of specialist loan applications. Reporting directly to the Senior Credit Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all applications are perfectly structured and progressed efficiently through to approval. This role is a critical link in our production line, requiring a high degree of technical proficiency in the ApplyOnline (AOL) system and a deep understanding of 2nd-tier Australian lender requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Loan Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of loan applications against specific 2nd-tier lender requirements to ensure eligibility and serviceability.
- AOL Management: Execute the accurate and efficient lodgement of applications through the ApplyOnline (AOL) system.
- Pipeline Progression: Manage the application lifecycle from lodgement to settlement, providing regular status reporting to the Senior Credit Manager.
- Refinancing Program: Support the firm’s active client refinancing program, working within pre-planned lending parameters and scheduled deadlines.
- Compliance: Ensure all documentation meets strict Australian regulatory and internal compliance standards.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Australian Credit Experience: Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a credit-focused role, ideally within an Australian mortgage brokerage or 2nd-tier lender.
- System Proficiency: Advanced, hands-on experience with the AOL (ApplyOnline) lodgement system.
- Specialist Lender Familiarity: Prior experience specifically with the credit portals and submission nuances of non-bank lenders like Bluestone, Resimac, or Firstmac.
- Operational Discipline: Strong ability to follow set schedules and maintain high output without sacrificing accuracy.
- Communication: Confident in reporting to senior leadership and managing lender follow-ups.
PREFERRED SKILLS (nice to have):
- Post-Approval Management: Experience in managing "valuation disputes" or "pricing requests" to help move a deal from conditional to unconditional approval faster.
