Position : Finance Assistant

Salary : Php 30,000 - Php 40,000 per month

Working Hours & Conditions : AU Working Hours and Holidays

OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a remote Finance assistant to support an Australian business. The core requirement for this role is strong Excel ability — you will be working daily with spreadsheets to reconcile accounts, track payments, and maintain accurate records.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare cost code reports in Excel
  • Prepare and send Payment Schedules to suppliers
  • Track supplier spend against Purchase Orders, and alert the team when a supplier is going over their approved PO amount
  • Maintain accurate reconciliation and account records in Excel daily
  • Raise questions or flag discrepancies as they arise, rather than guessing or waiting

Requirements

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including:
    • Data entry and formatting
    • Cell formatting (fonts, borders, colours, number formats)
    • Sorting and filtering data
    • Basic formulas (SUM, AVERAGE, COUNT, MIN, MAX)
    • Building and maintaining reconciliation reports
    • Excellent written and verbal English
    • Comfortable working independently and flagging issues or blockers proactively, rather than sitting on them

Note on experience: We are open to recent graduates (accounting, finance, commerce or similar) with strong Excel ability and no bookkeeping experience yet, as well as candidates with existing bookkeeping/accounts experience. Excel skill is the deciding factor, not years on the job.

Highly Regarded (not required)

  • Experience bookkeeping for an Australian construction, building, civil, fit-out or trade business
  • Experience using MYOB
  • Experience using Procore or similar construction management software
