Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, relationship-driven Referral Specialist to develop and maintain strong partnerships with physicians, medical practices, hospitals, and other healthcare professionals. This role is responsible for generating patient referrals by building trust, educating referral sources about the company's services, and serving as a brand ambassador within the healthcare community.
The ideal candidate is confident, personable, well-presented, and enjoys networking with healthcare professionals to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, specialists, hospitals, clinics, and other referral partners.
- Conduct regular outreach through in-person visits, phone calls, emails, and networking events.
- Educate healthcare providers on the company's services and referral process.
- Identify new referral opportunities and develop strategies to increase referral volume.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for referral sources, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Represent the company professionally at community events, medical meetings, and networking functions.
- Maintain accurate records of referral activities and provider interactions in the CRM system.
- Collaborate with internal clinical and administrative teams to ensure a seamless referral experience.
- Follow up with referral partners to strengthen relationships and address any concerns.
- Monitor referral trends and provide regular reports on business development activities.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare business development, physician liaison, referral coordination, medical sales, or healthcare marketing.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Confident, polished, and professional presentation.
- Comfortable networking with physicians and healthcare executives.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple relationships.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel locally to meet with referral sources (if applicable).
