We are looking for a hands-on Lead Business Analyst. This role is not entirely administrative, and you will spend most of your time working on analytical tasks with the team.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting the full cycle of business analysis from identifying business needs and researching the domain to supporting the implementation of solutions.
- Conducting discovery phases, analyzing As-Is processes, designing To-Be states, and identifying risks, limitations, and dependencies.
- Identifying, analyzing, and formalizing functional and non-functional requirements using industry best practices and techniques.
- Developing and aligning optimal solutions with Product Owners, architects, developers, UX/UI designers, QA, and other stakeholders.
- Preparing high-quality analytical artifacts such as business and stakeholder requirements in BRD or Vision and Scope formats, as well as functional requirements in the form of User Stories or Use Cases with UI descriptions.
- Using BPMN for process modeling and UML for Activity, Use Case, and Class diagrams.
- Ensuring the completeness, consistency, and traceability of requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participating in Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, and other agile activities as a key subject matter expert.
- Acting as an expert to help the team make complex product and technical decisions.
Team development and functions (30 to 40 % of your time)
- Mentoring the business analysis team and facilitating the professional growth of employees.
- Holding regular 1-on-1 meetings, evaluating work results, providing constructive feedback, and creating individual development plans.
- Reviewing analytical artifacts and ensuring uniform quality standards within the team.
- Developing processes, methodologies, templates, and best practices for business analysis.
- Participating in hiring by conducting technical interviews, assessing professional skills, and making hiring decisions.
- Organizing and supporting the onboarding process for new business analysts to help them adapt and reach the necessary level of independence.
- Collaborating with the Head of Business Analysis on team development, resource allocation, improving the maturity of the business analysis function, and implementing process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience as a business analyst, including 2 to 3 years in a senior position.
- Experience integrating AI tools into business analyst workflows.
- Experience with microservice architecture and high-load systems.
- Basic system analysis skills, including understanding of REST API, Webhooks, gRPC, OpenAPI, Swagger, JSON, and XML.
- Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, authorization mechanisms, and asynchronous interaction like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of the basics of microservice architecture design and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Proven experience in improving the quality of requirements through reviews, developing checklists, auditing documentation, identifying system issues, and implementing quality control practices.
- Experience in people management including performance reviews, individual development plans, 1-on-1 meetings, mentoring, technical interviews, and onboarding.
- Product experience including an understanding of product metrics and the ability to make decisions based on business value.
English level B1.
Nice to have
- Experience designing cross-team collaboration processes between business analysis, product management, design, project management, development, and testing departments.
