Overview
GovWorx is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the execution, delivery, and continuous improvement of mission-critical software products supporting public safety and emergency communications. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, customers, and compliance, with a strong focus on Agile execution, real-world user feedback, and data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing complex, regulated products, working closely with cross-functional teams, and translating customer and operational needs into high-quality, reliable product outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Drive Agile / Scrum Execution — Act as Product Manager by maintaining a prioritized backlog, leading sprint ceremonies, and keeping delivery velocity on track.
Plan & Track Project Timelines — Build release plans, manage cross-functional dependencies, and surface risks early with clear mitigation options.
Lead Customer Implementations & Feedback Loops — Orchestrate pilots, coordinate training, and iterate features based on real-world call-taker feedback.
Champion Data-Driven Decision Making — Define KPIs (e.g., call-handling time, AI adoption rate), instrument product analytics, and adapt the roadmap based on measurable outcomes.
Ensure Compliance & Security Alignment — Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure products remain CJIS- and SOC 2-compliant.
Collaborate on Go-to-Market & Support Enablement — Provide product expertise for marketing, sales, and support collateral, and brief internal teams ahead of each release.
Foster a High-Performance Team Culture — Promote proactive communication, celebrate wins, and continually refine processes to improve predictability and team satisfaction.

5–10 years of experience in product management or closely related product leadership roles
Demonstrated experience owning complex, customer-facing software products from discovery through delivery
Deep hands-on experience working with Agile/Scrum teams and serving as Product Manager when needed
Proven ability to manage and prioritize backlogs, lead sprint ceremonies, and maintain predictable delivery velocity
Strong experience building and managing release plans, timelines, and cross-functional dependencies
Track record of leading customer implementations, pilots, or phased rollouts in production environments
Advanced ability to define, monitor, and act on KPIs to drive roadmap and delivery decisions
Experience operating in regulated or compliance-driven environments (e.g., CJIS, SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, or similar)
Strong cross-functional leadership skills, including collaboration with engineering, security, infrastructure, sales, and support teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level communication
Must pass FBI fingerprint and background check in multiple states
