About the Role
This is a senior, hands-on Solution Architect role focused on Databricks platform delivery for enterprise clients. You will sit at the intersection of data engineering, cloud architecture, and client consulting, helping complex organizations design and implement scalable data lakehouse solutions. The work is high-impact, requiring both deep technical expertise and strong consulting instincts.
What You'll Do
Lead end-to-end Databricks implementation projects from architecture design through production deployment.
Design and optimize large-scale data platforms using the Databricks Lakehouse Platform and Apache Spark.
Apply performance tuning and scalability best practices to distributed data systems.
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines for data platform deployments across cloud environments.
Contribute to MLOps workflows and advise on operationalizing machine learning within the data platform.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients, translating business needs into platform architecture decisions.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of consulting experience, including 7+ years in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, and Analytics.
Hands-on delivery of 6 to 8 or more Databricks implementation projects.
Strong expertise in Apache Spark and distributed computing, including Spark runtime internals.
Deep understanding of the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, including current capabilities and best practices.
Databricks Data Engineering Professional Certification completed or in progress.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP; multi-cloud experience is a plus.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines for production data platform deployments.
Working knowledge of MLOps concepts and tooling.
Enterprise-scale implementation background in a senior, hands-on Solution Architect capacity.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Up to $80/hr on W2. No visa sponsorship available.
