Job Role: Video Editor (Motion Graphics)
Compensation range: $2,000 AUD - $3,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

This role offers a unique opportunity to learn the technical and psychological aspects of high-level marketing within a global, high-stakes industry
Role Overview: We're looking for a skilled Video Editor with strong motion graphics ability to support an Australian client's content production needs. This role covers end-to-end editing of social media content plus dedicated motion graphics work, so we need someone equally comfortable with fast-paced cut-downs and more polished animated elements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create branded motion graphics, animated titles, lower thirds, transitions and other visual assets for social and digital content.
- Edit long-form video content into engaging short-form assets for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts and LinkedIn.
- Repurpose existing footage into multiple platform-specific edits and formats.
- Maintain consistent branding, visual style and production quality across all video and motion content.
- Work collaboratively across the Design, Video and Marketing teams on creative direction, revisions and feedback.
- Manage a steady volume of projects and priorities work according to deadlines
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong motion graphics skills using Adobe After Effects or equivalent professional software.
- Proven experience editing video for social media, including reels, shorts and cut-down content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or an equivalent.
- Strong understanding of platform-specific requirements, including aspect ratios, captions, hooks and pacing.
- A good eye for typography, composition, timing, pacing and visual storytelling.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a creative team and action feedback constructively.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.
- Comfortable adapting to collaborative production workflows and learning new platforms where required.
- Reliable internet connection and access to your own editing equipment and professional software.
Nice to Have
- Graphic design experience, with preference given to candidates who are comfortable supporting the Design team when required.
- Experience working with brand guidelines to produce marketing or campaign content.
- Sound design, audio mixing and colour grading skills.
- Familiarity with Canva, Riverside or similar collaborative content-production platforms.
